A Matte Twist...

 Lately I have been seeing magazine ads showcasing Mattifying Nail Polishes. So I decided to have some fun with them and try something a little different. Hope you enjoy this look and let me know what you think in the comment section below.

Step 1: To get this super sleek look you will need black nail polish (or another color), clear top coat, matte finish nail polish (I used GOSH), nail polish remover, Q-Tips

Step 2: Clean your nails with some nail polish remover to remove any dirt or old nail polish

Step 3: File your nails in the desired shape

Step 4: Paint you nails with two coats of black nail polish. As you wait for your nail polish to dry, go ahead and clean any nail polish that may have gotten on your skin with a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover

Step 5: Apply one coat of matte finish nail polish. I used GOSH, if you can't find this brand try Matte About You By essie 

Step 6: For your shiny french tip, free hand or use tape as a guide to paint on a french tip with clear nail polish

VOILA! Your fabulous nails are ready to show off!

We all know by now that its important to exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells, environmental debris, makeup, and dirt. Exfoliation helps slush away old dirty skin cells to make room for new healthy cells. Our lips are no exception and need the same care, especially in the approaching fall and winter months. All you need is a toothbrush (soft bristle is best) and some Vaseline. First wet your lips with a bit of water, then apply a small amount of Vaseline to your tooth brush. Starting with your top lip and gently brush your lips in circular motion going around from top lip to bottom lip and back again. Continue brushing until you start to feel your lips becoming smooth. If you notice your lips start to peel gently continue brushing. When your done wipe off the excess Vaseline with a soft face cloth. Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette...

On a recent trip to my local Sephora I was introduced to their Moonshadow Baked Palette. These palettes come in two color themes: In The Nude and In The Dark. Both palettes come with 10 baked eye shadows that can be used wet or dry. I love these shadows and believe Sephora did a great job with them and the price point of $28 is well worth it. These shadows are highly pigmented, have minimal fall out, and both palettes come in great color selections for both natural and dramatic makeup looks. This palette is a great alternative to those who don't want to pay $50 dollars for Urban Decays Naked Palette .
