Lash Blast!...

Fuller lashes are playful and sexy! Unfortunately most of us need a little help getting fuller lashes with falsies. False lashes are available in 2 types, individuals and strips. What ever your choice I will help you decide what style best suites you and the tools needed to apply them.
Individual Lashes                   Strip Lashes

Individual Lashes are great choice for those who are looking for lashes that will enhance their natural lashes or just need a few lashes to fill in spots that may not be as full. Keep in mind false lashes will start to lift if the glue gets wet during application or after and for this reason individuals are a better choice for those of you with over active tear ducts or tear up often because you are an emotional basket-case like my self (I cry over everything! It's so bad that just today I started to tear up because my cat Bindi was playing with his new toy and looked so cute!) I almost always use individual lashes on my bridal clients because if they cry they don't have to worry about their whole lash strip lifting, they just have to wipe away a few lashes. The only draw back to individual lashes is they take patience and practice to apply or should be applied by a professional.

Strip Lashes are much easier to apply, come in a wide array of lengths, shapes, colors and styles. I personally prefer strip lashes for ease of use, I also like to double my lash strips for when I want a more dramatic look. If properly cared for strip lashes can  last up to a month.

Tools to apply lashes:
  • Lashes
  • Lash Glue
  • Tweezers
  • Lash Comb
  • Mascara

How to Apply Lashes:
  • Apply a thin coat of mascara to your top and bottom lashes
  • Using your lash comb, comb through any clumps the mascara may have left behind
  • If using strip lashes apply each lash without any glue to see if you need to trim the lashes to match the length of your eyes
  • Apply a pea sized amount of lash glue on to the back of your hand
  • Pick up your false lashes using your tweezer
  • Slide the bottom of the false lashes (the part that will be against your lash line) onto the glue
  • allow the glue to sit on the lashes for a couple of seconds so the glue gets a bit tacky and then apply them as close to your natural lashes as possible. Waiting for your lash glue to get a bit tacky is a very important step, applying your lashes right after applying your glue may result in lashes sliding or not sticking.
  • Finally apply one more coat of mascara to your natural and false lashes, this step will help fuse them both together and make them look much more natural.
With proper care your strip lashes can last up to a month. Individuals are harder to reuse because they are so small. When removing your strip lashes start from the outer corner of each eye and gently peel your falsies inwards. Using your tweezers gently peel off the dried lash glue and there you go, your lashes live to see another fabulous day.
